"WANT SUGGESTIONS FOR FRONT FORK"

The Yamaha has one major problem in the front end and that's the rebound valve. You are quite correct in identifying poor traction feel. The reason is that the rebound valve is used to control some dive effect and it does this by using small port sizes which cause fade. The only way to fix the problem is to replace both compression and rebound valve. We highly recommend this course of action.

Either our 20SSK kit or our 20SSRK will more than correct all set-up problems in the R1's front end. We can also revalve and re-spring the rear shock to suit your application/feel requirements.
